Welcome to Time Limit Draw! Our hosts "Southern Comfort" Michael Watson and "The Golden Voice" James Ryan review, rehash, and recoil at the best and the worst of WWE, WCW, and ECW ppvs and supershows from a generation back.
On this episode of Time Limit Draw, our hosts Michael Watson and James Ryan join the WCW roster as they head north to Sturgis, South Dakota for the largest gathering of white trash and rednecks at the Sturgis Bike Rally! Eric Bischoff's pet project/charitable function of bringing professional wrestling to the disadvantaged bikers is commendable! We review Rey Mysterio leaping from 15 plus feet down atop Ultimo Dragon, and the cameras missed it! A motorcycle gets gently demolished via sledgehammer! Harlem Heat battles Racism! Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko fight for 26 minutes and get booed because of it! Mongo visits the Reservation! The Outsiders, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall immediately regret their decision to join WCW! And Hollywood Hogan battles The Giant for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and Black Spray Paint makes it shocking debut!
The dog days of Summer are almost upon us, and what better way to cool down than to hear James Ryan and Michael Watson review WWF SummerSlam 1994! Before we dive head first into the ppv, Michael and James discuss the horrific events that occurred over the weekend in Charlottesville, we shift gears and get to the bottom of the "Who's the 6th Man in the nWo" mystery, and do everything we can to not talk about SummerSlam 94! Outside of a somewhat enjoyable Alundra Blayze/Bull Nakano match and one of the best cage matches ever, as Bret Hart defends his WWF title against his brother, Owen, this ppv is garbage. The Clique fights over the IC title, who sold out to the Million Dollar Man Tatanka or Lex, and the infamous Undertaker vs Undertaker. Yeah boy.
"The Boys of Summer", Michael Watson and James Ryan visit the World's Most Famous Areana for the WWF's SummerSlam 1988! The inaugural event is a Happening indeed! The usual cast of characters are all here! The Rogeaus, The British Bulldogs, Bad News Brown, The Powers of Pain, "Canadian Strong Man" Dino Bravo, and the Honky Tonk Man, who puts his Intercontinental Title on the line in the Ultimate challenge! In the Main Event, "Friend of the Show" Jesse "The Body" Ventura" is the special referee for the The Mega Bucks (Andre the Giant/Ted DiBiase) vsThe Mega Powers (Savage/Hogan)! Did I mention, it's a Happening, brother?
Time Limit Draw is going to war! No, not the good kind of war like WarGames, but the ill-fated, ill-conceived war of 2001. WWF Invasion asks the question of "What if we booked all three companies, WWF, WCW, and ECW, and made them fight it out? Who would win? Who would be left standing? And who would be booking this? Unlike the majority of fans and professionals who probably booked amazing shows, this was booked by a self absorbed madman who only wanted his company to get the rub. In 2001, Vincent Kennedy McMahon played mad scientist and got the wrestling world and its fans excited, only to be immediately let down and disappointed. Michael Watson and James Ryan review the War to End All Wars, Invasion! The WCW/ECW Alliance takes on the WWF, and the world would never be the same again.
On this episode of Time Limit Draw, Michael Watson and James Ryan hit the beach! WCW's Bash at the Beach 1998 comes to us live from San Diego! Not only is this the infamous DDP/Karl Malone vs Hollyhood Hogan/Dennis Rodman, but this is the only pay per view James has ever attended live! Watch Saturn jump through a table for no reason, Chris Jericho do a soft shoe routine, Nash power bombing in street clothes, Dennis Rodman drunk off his ass, the rest of the nWo drunk off their asses, Konnan selling fish tacos in the parking lot, the greatest Stevie Ray sign ever, and speaking of signs, James and his buddy throwing up signs all night long! The Lord of the Dance is here!
